The soldiers are always victorious, especially if still in enemy territory. If Russia loses the war, who will be at fault? Our man Solovyov will blame wreckers, traitors, egotists, and weaklings at home. He also sounds like a Stalinist. He seems to forget what happens to those who do the dirty work of purging – they get purged themselves.
