Bibiel Hears Things: Mary Lattimore – “Your Glossy Camry”

Hey people! When I was thinking about a “Bibiel Hears Things” piece to feature today, I was hit by a realisation that I really want to feature something by Mary Lattimore. So – that’s what I’m doing! And I decided on a piece from her aptly titled album “Collected Pieces”, from which I’ve already shared one piece before – “Wawa by the Ocean”, which at this point is one of my favourite compositions of hers as it’s grown on me even further since featuring it. Can’t even tell you why exactly, but it’s like it implants some fragmented memories in my brain that I’ve never actually experienced for real, or maybe resurfaces something I’ve actually experienced but can’t remember otherwise, lol, who knows, and makes me revisit those fake memories because they’re sooo cool. And I do have real cool associations with it, too – I picked it as one of the songs for a playlist that sort of accompanies the story of one of my Brainworlds, so since then it always makes me think of the specific moment in…
