China’s Gold-Winning Aerobic Gymnastics Trio Is Pure Joy to Watch

If you have an ever so slightly twisted younger sibling, then you will understand the relationship between the World Games and the Olympics. They are a little different and certainly less conventional – and include sports such as tug-of-war, wushu and billiards – as well as the Aerobic Gymnastics Trio event. I know that we don’t often feature sports on Kuriositas, but the AGT event is as camp as a row of tents. Not only that, it has a joie de vivre to it that cannot fail to put a smile on the face of even the most po-faced gymnastics judge (surely?). Last held in the Summer of 2025, China romped home as the gold medal winner of the Aerobic Gymnastics Trio event. It’s not hard to see why after watching the exuberant performance of Fan Siwei, Zhang Qingzhou, and Wang Zhenhao. I loved the way that they are absolutely in their element from beginning to end – not to mention the technical brilliance of their performance. Take a look and walk away a sports fan.
