I've Got Webmentions

It’s finally Saturday. And while we would normally be doing something as a family today, instead the missus is at work and the little one is off doing whatever it is that 10-year-olds do. Which means I have the house to myself. So I the absence of any distractions I decided it was time to tackle a thing that’s been on my todo list ever since I moved my website from WordPress to 11ty: implementing Webmentions.And finally after a few hours of tinkering, and some back and forth with Claude Code on the things I couldn’t figure out on my own, everything seems to be working correctly. Interactions from Mastodon and Bluesky now show up at the bottom of all blog posts along with any mentions from other websites.Since this is a static site mentions don’t show up unless I push a new build but that happens often enough that I don’t really consider it an issue.
