2026LON Part 7: Hyde Park Cnr, Buckingham Palace, Green Park, St. Paul’s, Guildhall, Wallace Collection (& More)

In this final installment of my week in London earlier this year, I look at some of the other places I visited – some of which were definitely must-see places, while others are more of a “well, at least I visited.” The photos in this post are probably not quite as photogenic as in the others due to the way the photos were sorted, but they’re still my favourites from the trip for one reason or another. Hyde Park Corner, The Green Park Across the road from Hyde Park is Hyde Park Corner. Yes, them Brits have a knack for naming things. This “corner” seems to be the home of a number of war memorials. The Royal Artillery Memorial seemed to have quite the number of poppy wreaths on it. Bronze statues stand guard, as one is laid to rest. A large bronze plaque laid on the ground carries a message … “They died with the faith that the future of all mankind would benefit by their sacrifice.” Yet it still seems humanity can never truly be “at peace.” Wellington Arch and a road that leads to…
