I did in fact buy a journal

I wrote here the other day that as much as I liked documenting thoughts here on the blog, as well as the shorter thoughts and stupid things that pop into my head that get posted on Mastodon, I wanted to start a journal just for more private writing and reflections. One day I’ll do this via typewriter when I acquire the one I want. Until then though, I thought I best acquire a nice notebook. I know that the act of writing and getting into that habit is more important than the actual pen and paper used. However, I just wanted something I liked holding and writing in and feel it may inspire me to get going more. When I asked for recommendations here I got quite a few responses which I’m grateful for. There were a few different contenders after reading the replies but one that stuck out to me was a company called Avocado and Spice.
