Following a torrid 24 hours of prostate related urine problems I made an appointment to see my GP. I had a constant sensation of needing to go for a pee, I had been up for a pee six times in the night and I had a bit of dribbling. I was at my wits end! The GP I saw was excellent.She didn't rush me, and listened carefully. excellent. I explained everything that was going on, and she made all the right noises. excellent. After consulting her supervisor we had a discussion about the extremely limited medical options, which narrowed down to Nothing or Finasteride! I wasn't prepared to carry on with the urine issues I'd had, particularly with a holiday coming up, so we talked through how I'd manage the Finasteride side effects. I will aim to counteract the arthralgia with co-codamol. I will - alongside my wife - watch out for the low mood starting (this is the most important red flag of them all).
