As I come out of the park, light filters through two tiny wild poppies and they glow like stained glass. I remember that’s what these notes were supposed to be about. The one thing, the small thing. Yesterday I went for a litter pick. If you can’t decide where to walk and there’s no one you need to meet, then do that. That’s what I told myself as the other part of me whined “but it’s Monday”. Litter picking on a Monday is a bad start to writing. I hauled glass bottles over to the bin. I left the bag by the side of the road briefly while I lugged two discarded black pillows over when I couldn’t carry everything at once. And I couldn’t finish the route because the bag was so heavy. But some is better than none at this point. Today London Bridge is full of slow walking men in white shirts.
