Winding Up the Week #482

An end of week recap “When I have a little money, I buy books; and if I have any left, I buy food and clothes.” – Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus Sadly, we bid Tove & Moomin Month farewell this coming week as August draws to a close, the last of its soft light slipping away while we in the north ready ourselves for the more muted tones of September. Mrs J’s BIG birthday is coming up soon, which means you will see a little less of me in coming days (plus next Saturday’s wind up is likely to be a little on the short side) – but I won’t be too far away. Today marks the start of Literacy and Numeracy Week in Australia (running until 4th September) – a time for storytelling, composing poems, writing short stories and indulging in number games, while tomorrow brings Frankenstein Day around the world in honour of Mary Shelley’s birthday.
