Local Great Whites 0 ▲ Stephen Bodio 1 hour ago · Nature · hide · 0 comments Source Hello there Contender! One of the biggest great whites being tracked in the North Atlantic just pinged off Ingonish Beach in Cape Breton. Contender is a massive 13.8-foot roughly 1,653-pound male who has travelled more than 7,000 miles along the U.S. East Coast and Canada. Looks like he’s making his summer rounds through Atlantic Canada. Tracking has shown them to be well distributed in the Gulf of St Lawrence, etc. This picure however I doubt as real. How would that be possible to get that restraint on it and a strap across the gills is a no-no. I call BS. Update Apparently, this is actually how they handled it. I see issues but I hope I am wrong. Also, intersting that they are up to Labrador. No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
