Trustees hike: Doyle Community Farm 0 ▲ Something better to do 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments I recently visited Trustees of Reservations Doyle Community Park in Leominster, MA, https://thetrustees.org/place/doyle-community-park/. The website’s tag-line for Doyle, “Meander along trails that pass through woodlands, fields, and gardens, all parts of an elegant former estate,” is accurate, but it doesn’t mention what I personally think is the best feature of this property, a pond with benches next to it you can sit on and listen to the birds and bullfrogs. Worth mentioning: Some of Doyle’s trails are designed for universal access, i.e., they are accessible to visitors who use mobility devices. This includes the trail between the parking lot and the pond. Here’s the trail map posted by the parking lot, which is also available online at https://thetrustees.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Doyle_TrailMap_2016.pdf. Amusing detail about this property: the “YOU ARE HERE” marker on one of the posted trail maps is in the wrong place. I’ve reported this to The Trustees though who knows if… No comments yet.
