Fediverse Oracles, Feedspools, and street plums (Catching up: August 7 – August 28)

TL;DR: Catching up on a sprawling few weeks of infrastructure rebuilding—from porting C64 BASIC maze generators for the blog to rewriting my RSS feed reader in pure-Go SQLite—along with building a Fediverse ActivityPub bot in a day, resuming my Persona 5 Royal save on a jailbroken Switch via Moonlight, making street plum shrub, and receiving surprise mail from the Church of Scientology. 10 PRINT Backgrounds and Infrastructure I tinkered a bit on the blog. I ported a classic C64 BASIC maze generator—10 PRINT CHR$(205.5+RND(1)); : GOTO 10—into a background, which gives the site a different maze design every time you reload it. Alongside that aesthetic update, I'm thinking about migrating the domain off the current AWS Cloudfront/S3 setup. Moving to an inexpensive cloud VM with config stored in a private git repo would let me support more dorky bells & whistles — like running my own finger server, auto-publishing .plan files straight from GitHub.
