Occasional Weeknote #33

Hey. Hope y’all are doing well out there in blog/rss/email land. Some stuff broke with my Occasional Weeknote mailing list when I moved to Netlify, but I think it’s all fixed now. If you’re one of the few that got these emails before, this one should be the first one in the last couple of months that was sent. We shall see! Apartment move-in for the older kiddo and starting high school for the younger kiddo both went well. Moving into an apartment is miles easier than moving into a dorm, so while I still think dorm living helps shape one’s college experience, as a parent, I’m not going to complain about the easier move. George the cat is in his new home and reportedly doing well! Otherwise, life continues to move forward. Nights are starting to cool just enough that autumn is feeling close. Evening runs have felt less oppressive and as a result, my pace has picked up a bit. Plus, sleeping with the window open… that’s possible again. And with that, I’ve got a lot to share this time…
