It was a unique addition to the reviews on The Cerebralrift for one reason: it didn’t carry a Creative Commons license. Instead, Fuga Discos stated their releases were “freemusic” releases. This actually caused a bit of a struggle for me. I had declared I was only reviewing music released with a Creative Commons license. And, somehow, I had missed that Fuga Discos didn’t use CC licenses. I recall asking Fuga Discos about this, and they indicated to me that “freemusic” was similar to public domain - but I couldn’t really accept that as there was no legal precedent or binding license that clarified that statement. To make matters worse, Vlisa’s BandCamp site stated that the work was under copyright. And the Internet…
