I have already noticed the Earth around me changing. Most notably the golden wattles, the longing Currawong calls, more Silvereyes, and Jacaranda trees are almost deep green with leaves again. I sat down near a fig tree. The ground was just dry enough. I waited for the sunset and the moonrise. My eyes are heavy and puffy from sleeping poorly the night before. I am on my fourth instant coffee for the day. I had it way too late. I have not been able to focus today at all. And yet I have been gifted the beauty of reading some words that still make me feel deeply with the book I am reading. I am grateful for that, even though I can't really follow the narrative sometimes. I get a cal from Mum. The moon rises in a few minutes or maybe it already has. But I talk about my life and hers.
