Walkthrough for Bellingcat's 'On the Right Track' challenge

Hi, welcome to this write-up for the 77. On the Right Track challenge from Bellingcat. Here you can see my thought processes and what steps I took to get to the answer, but of course there are many different ways of reaching the same results. First lookWe've received a picture of GeoPeter. It's a selfie made while travelling. We need to geolocate him and find the name of the neighborhood he's posing in for his picture. I first inspected the picture to gain as much knowledge as possible before starting my search. This could help me get some context for what I'm looking for. I made a list for myself and noted: It's a man wearing a scarf and hat: is it a cold environment? The environment looks quite European, maybe Eastern Europe. The man is wearing a pin with the flag of Sweden and Latvia: is that where he is? It looks like he's at a train station. In the distance there is a tower of some sort.
