It has been a while since I updated this page, and quite a bit has happened since the last one. I am still writing about security and working in the MSP world. Outside of that, I have spent a lot of time on self-hosting, physical media, and building tools that solve problems I keep running into myself.Here is where things stand right now.WorkWork is same same…but different. That is still the best way I can explain it.I am working from home and spending my days in the usual mix of cybersecurity, IT support, vendor tools, client problems, and all the strange issues that come with MSP life. The technical part matters, but I keep coming back to the operational side of security: whether a control works in the real world, whether people understand what is changing, and whether we can respond quickly enough when the time between a vulnerability disclosure and active exploitation keeps shrinking.There is always another tool promising to fix everything.
