A little bit to help people find my music.Today I published a short video tip for working effectively with Dorico — specifically, about how to use Dorico’s Flow and Layout concepts with its tabbed view to get better performance while working on huge projects (like, say, a symphony) — Using Flows, Tabs, and Layouts to Make Big Projects Manageable in Dorico But: why? Video takes a ton of time, even when you have really excellent help, and I noted at the end of last year that it hadn’t done a lot for me in terms of building my music’s audience. But: I also noticed that people do seem to find and watch the Dorico tips I have published, and I really like helping people. If the things I learn while working on this can help others with their own composition, orchestration, etc., great. Dorico tips and similar videos are a small discovery channel for my music.
