Abxylute’s M5 + M6 mobile controllers are taking a direct shot at MCON

Abxylute has officially unveiled its upcoming mobile controllers — the M5 and M6 — which look suspiciously like the MCON and upcoming MCON Slim. The Abxylute M6 Details are light about the features here as the Kickstarter page only seems to go in-depth on the M6, but from what I can gather it’s essentially a pitch-perfect knockoff of the original MCON with a few caveats. It’s got a detachable magnetic plateau on the top plate, but we have no idea if it’s adjustable in any way. It has a magnetic grip instead of flip-out grip handles which feels significantly less convenient. The M6 bails on the MCON’s spring-loaded launch system with a “smooth dual slide rail design” which should make for a less harrowing launch experience. All in all, my two major questions about the M6 come down to price and compatibility. Of all the companies to go head to head with MCON, I find Abxylute to be the most interesting due to their — in my experience at least — usual success at finding a solid match…
