Recently I stumbled upon Michael’s post Re: Things to do after your dad dies and his closing remarks hit a sensible spot on me. These days I think a lot about what I can do to prepare my family for my own death. Given my cardiomiopathy and the heart transplant I went through preparing everything for my wife in the occurence of my own death was a think I had to solve fast when I realized the transplant was approaching faster than I ever imagined and there was no space for procrastinating. I already setup a Legacy Contact for my AppleID (I have an Apple One family plan and here we store lots of photos, contacts, shared notes and calendars). I made sure my wife could access to my 1password account, where I store accounts credentials and secure notes. I made clear who to contact in my closest circle of friends to manage my stuff: computers and blogs, my motorcycle, my comic book collection. I made sure she could access my bank account.
