View From a Hotel Balcony, 8/26/26: Anaheim

It’s the happiest parking lot on Earth! We are here, of course, for LACon V, this year’s Worldcon, where I will doing panels, a reading, a signing, and of course DJing a dance. I may also win a Hugo, but then, I might not. Either way, I still have Hugos, so it’s fine either way. It’s very hot here at the moment. I understand it’s going to get hotter. Fortunately I will be mostly in air-conditioned places. If you’re at the convention and see me, come say hi. If you’re not at the convention, you will likely not see me. But if somehow you do, you can still say hello. I’ll be easy to spot, I’ll be the short dude next to the stunning Amazon. — JS
