This is an interesting board, with a unique way of dealing with function keys for a 65% board, and both mechanical and Hall effect switching modesIt will also take both ordinary mechanical and Hall effect switches. It’s milled out a a big chunk of aluminium, has a dedicated knob, south-facing backlighting, and is wired-only. Note that when the switch on the left is up, the top row is function keys, and is labeled above the keys. You can also access this mode with the Fn key. There’s only one problem: the configuration software sucks (that’s a technical term). First off, the web-run configurator doesn’t run at all on a Mac. It does run under Windows 11 on Chrome, but there are important functions I can’t figure out how to activate. So I’m abandoning the board. I hope these folks fix their configurator soon. The post Lofree Hyzen 67 keyboard review first appeared on the last word.
