Content warning Depression, burnout It's been a while since my last post, which coincides with the beginning of a burnout. It officially started in February, and it's still something I'm recovering from. So here's a fresh start, one that takes courage, because I really didn't want to write about this. However the writing was on the wall as they say. The initial embers of this burnout already happened in 2018, I was trying to chase a salary increase that I knew I deserved. Definitely in hindsight looking at my career path, I can concur that that was correct. Another thing that contributed was an hour-long commute each way, with rush hour trains, to get to the office where most days were typical "could have done this at home" days. The straw that broke the camel's back this time, was the lack of autonomy, not being heard and a sheer lack for quality.
