Bibiel Hears Things: Osh Gierke – “Are You There”

Hey people! A few weeks ago, I was catching up on some of the newest releases from the Welsh Bryn Rock label, which is something I do once in a while, because it’s co-founded by one of my faza peeps, Jacob Elwy, with his brother Morgan, and also because they’ve released a lot of great music in the last few years, so I like to keep an eye on it, even if I don’t follow them, like, massively systematically at this point. And it was during this last catch-up that the music of Osh Gierke caught my attention in particular. I’d already heard some of his earlier stuff before, but it seems that, since the previous time I’d caught up with Bryn Rock, he’s been very active and developing very dynamically, not just as a solo artist, but now also with his new band Glass Angels, who came together while studying at Coleg Llandrillo and with whom he’s already experienced some success and released a string of singles – all of them just this year according to Spotify, and all of them really impressive…
