"Why We Can't Truly Explore the Deep Amazon"

I just watched this video and I think it gives a perfect picture of the dangers of rainforests, something that a lot of people who don't live near one have no idea. It's funny because even in parts of Brazil that have been heavily deforested (like the Southeastern region), there are still surviving patches of another rainforest, which at the time of colonization was the second-largest in the world — only behind the Amazon — and, even so, every year there are tourists who just want to "take a walk" in it. And, like, that's not something you do. I remember once, in a foreign subreddit about Brazil, someone insisting they were fit and used to take hikes in the forests of Europe and North America, and Brazilians were like "dude, no. you have no idea how much more dangerous a jungle can be, even if it's just a small patch within a natural reserve. anything can happen and you literally won't be able to call for help", and the person was "nah, I'm used to hiking trails".
