A few years ago, we looked at organizing bookmarks using Logseq and Raindrop.io collections. To be honest, this was neat but still failed to really give me the ideal bookmark experience I am looking for. I want to have huge collections of bookmarks I never look at but still be able to retrieve them easily when the pages/topics come up in my mind. I had looked at some of the AI powered bookmark services, but I desperately do not want to add another service in the mix. Luckily, I realized this is exactly the right use case for MCP and as luck would have it, Raindrop has an MCP server you can integrate into your agents/chat! This is also how I found out that even if you pay Open AI $20 a month, you are not allowed to add custom MCP servers – How rude! Anthropic will let you add it though, and it works really well.
