Beta.

I haven’t really been interested in the latest beta versions of the xOS 27 operating systems from Apple for their various iDevices. I watched the presentation at WWDC back in June and I know the focus this year is on stability and foundational improvements. Of course, there’s a bunch of AI thrown in there because that’s all we seem to care about in the tech industry these days. I saw a mention on one of the Apple message boards that the latest version of the iPadOS 27 beta is remarkably stable. With the official versions coming out fairly soon, I thought it’d be a safe time to try this out on one device, and I chose my aging M1 iPad Pro as the guinea pig. I have to admit I’m impressed. The design language around Liquid Glass has been cleaned up quite a bit and I appreciate that it no longer feels like a Fisher-Price experience.
