My family love me as much as I love them. We tell each other all the time. But when I’m at my lowest is really when they show it. Mum She brought me a cake. A gigantic, fluffy sweet cake. What distinguishes this from a normal act of kindness is that she is usually the one making sure I don’t slowly die from malnutrition. Lots of vegetables and protein is usually her way. Not sweets. Feeding us is her love language, one passed down to her from her family line (hence why they are all overweight). Buddy Buddy is the newest and youngest member of our family, a wire-haired Jack Russell Terrier. As is typical of his breed, he is independent, stubborn and playful. Last night he trotted off and returned with a plush toy he hadn’t quite managed to destroy yet. Jumped up to me on the lounge. Pushed the damp thing into my damp face and dropped it.
