Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, the latest attempt to bring George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire novels and their HBO TV adaptation Game of Thrones to the video game sphere, has received a new trailer.War for Westeros is a real-time strategy game drawing heavy inspiration from the venerable Battle for Middle-earth series from the mid-2000s. You choose a faction - House Stark, Lannister or Targaryen, or the invading White Walkers - and guide them to victory over a series of battles. Your armies will include cavalry, infantry, archers, siege equipment and more exotic creatures such as giants, wights and, of course, dragons (well, three). The game features multiplayer and a single-player campaign mode, where you apparently choose which area to attack next.The franchise has had a mixed history with official video game adaptations.
