I think it’s because we bought this house with Cocoa in mind. We wanted a safe neighborhood so we could take her out at 3AM and still feel safe1. We wanted grass for her. We wanted a backyard where she could lounge around. So much of what we looked for in a home was for her. We never got to fix the backyard the way we wanted to while she was still here. We always thought there would be a tomorrow. Another chance. That is one of our biggest regrets. Even still, LC is now fixing it up, and we’re calling it Cocoa’s backyard2. This house was always hers. She certainly walked around like she owned it. If it wasn’t for her, this house probably wouldn’t have been our first choice. We bought it for her. We’ve toyed around with the idea of selling and getting a condo. We won’t, at least not right now. We’re trying to be financially responsible, and it’s not exactly the best time to sell anyway.
