Notes and links from 25 Aug

While this post is mostly about Lav she wasn’t very camera friendly today, while Wally-the-tart went and did this. So here’s Wally. Lavander is much better. She recovered about 10pm last night, taking some pellets and running around after treats. Her “down time” was a bit longer than we’re used to for a problem we can treat without the vet and I was sure we’d be on the phone first thing, but no, she’s fine. This happens to one of the rabbits every few months and we’ve very good at spotting it. We tend not to panic and call the vet but monitor the bun and treat as needed. Most of the time they get better and we save on vet bills, but because we’re quick off the mark we never know if the rabbit would have recovered fine on their own. Wally went a bit off last week. He suddenly changed his behaviour and didn’t want any treats, so we initiated the usual plan of giving him a tummy massage and then watching. Within an hour he was fine. Would Lav have been fine had we not around yesterday?…
