this has been an idea file in my blog folder for weeks, and today, it just wrote itself. The world is overwhelming, and it’s hard to find ways to deal with that. I know one way, a way that has been part of my life since my childhood: crafting. Instead of getting angry about whatever is in the news, pick up knitting needles, crochet hooks, woodworking tools, anything that you would like to work with. There are so many ways to learn what you would love to make. Find your resources and start crafting. Instead listening to the shouts of the newsmedia, listen to the tap tap tap of knitting needles. Instead of getting agitated by something online, carve a fun little object that makes you smile. Crafting is a quiet resistance. It’s a resistance that says: I really don’t want to be part of all that noise anymore. Let me just sit here in my quiet corner, and do something that brings me joy. You can use your crafts to do good, knitting gifts for your community. You can use your crafts as a form…
