Second Chances

Today is the day I got a second chance when the surgeon—this time last year—removed a foot of colon in order to exercise a small cancerous growth. I am eternally thankful to be one of the lucky ones. Things could have gone oh so differently if they hadn’t caught this early enough. One year on, I feel more positive and healthy than I have been in the last four years. And, as a result of this surgery, and everything I went through, I now have a future again. 𖡼.𖤣𖥧𖡼.𖤣𖥧
