Richard Lloyd - CBGB 1979As is obvious, I’m a big fan of Television bootlegs — for some reason, I never get tired of hearing that Tom Verlaine / Richard Lloyd guitar weave, even on the most lo-fi of tapes. Of course, bootlegs don’t pay the bills for the musicians involved. So! If you’ve enjoyed any of the various Television recordings I’ve shared over the years, now’s the time to open your wallet: Lloyd was recently diagnosed with cancer and is “financially strapped.” In a better world (or maybe just Sweden), he’d be given the best possible treatment without having to go bankrupt … but this is the world we live in and there’s a GoFundMe to help out.
