I like the idea and want to do more such posts, and the next one invited itself in with a new book by one of my favourite contemporary authors, Lissa Evans, much featured on the blog for her own books, children’s and adults, and for her excellent blog recommendations over the years. (She even appeared in the Dower House post earlier this week) Her new book is for young adults, and is a riot. My name is MacKenzie Bly * No it Isn’t-our hero just wants a cooler name. His real name is Philip Stephens, and he is a14yo navigating his way through a year of Ipsley Castle Secondary School, and it is charming, hilarious, and just a delight.
