Sharing an assortment of things here that I’ve been having fun with! Bookbinding: I went for a bookbinding workshop two weekends ago. I have never thought of myself as a crafty person (in fact, quite the opposite) and I have zero bookbinding experience, but I love notebooks and run through them very fast, so I wanted to try. We learned the Japanese stab binding method which was super easy and accessible. I was inspired enough after the workshop to go source my own materials and bind more books. It’s a lot less arcane than it seems. Paper, strong thread, and a needle are all you need at the bare minimum to get you up and running for this bookbinding method. I wound up also ordering a paper cutter and an awl and mallet, because I was too lazy to hand-cut paper and punching holes with needles was profoundly unfun, but all these items were easily and cheaply orderable online and if you don’t want them, you don’t need them (though they’ll make your life much easier).
