Why it's so hard to interact with me

Some thoughts about Please let me interact with your blog post! You can probably tell from my blog that I am quite asthetically spartan. I am a huge believer in function over form, and while that doesn't mean that I complete disregard form, I find pages that refuse to stay still very anoying. I don't want text to fade in/out or move while I scroll, I don't want a popup after 30 seconds, there is enough things in life that claw for my attention, can this god forsaken page just stay still! I don't want to come of as a grumpy old man that get's overwhelmed when his new appliance has a blinking LED. Having a small widget that makes every visit theoretically unique is fun, like a view counter or comment field or whatever. However there is something neat about going to the absolute other side of the spectrum. A completely static page. A page you can refresh as many times as you want without anything changes. You can return in a year, or hell download it to your local machine, nothing will…
