Day 191: Sun Showers

2026-08-16Hello!I parted ways with John the local and started walking back to the trail entrance.As I was leaving the woods, the rain started to fall. I was following the trail, so I knew I would make it back to the parking lot; I was more concerned about the bike ride home.I hoped the rain would be enough to fill the creek again, or at least get some water flowing through it. But as if mocking me, the skies stopped raining and turned blue as I picked up speed on my bicycle. It had hardly rained at all.Finally, Isabel Emrich from California, US has produced amazing paintings of portraits, cities, and flowers. There's no text to describe the process of any of her artworks, but just looking at them, I can see a connection between her style and the works of Van Gogh (a stated inspiration of Isabel's).
