I've done posts like this before but it has always been around little systems I've built, like my email setup. I figured since I've been using Linux since 1998 maybe I could share the tools I use and what my typical setup looks like. I wanted to share this all because I think a lot of folks share things they like to brag about, but as you'll see, I have a pretty modest setup. Old hardware I am not someone that likes to spend money unless I have to. Up until maybe 7 years ago all of my computers were hand-me-downs from work, or put together from stuff I found at the univeristy property disposition center (which I highly recommend visiting if you have one in your town!). My current "daily driver" is System76 Galigo Pro that I purchased 6 years ago. I purchased it with 32GB of memory but didn't splurg on the CPU or GPU (though I did get the switchable NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti). This has been a great laptop that has done everything I have ever needed. I did have to pick up a new battery…
