The Skeg, part 1

What, you may be asking yourself, is a “skeg?” Rather than describe it, take a look at this plan: The skeg is the part in red. (Okay, technically, the keel is there, too. Sigh. The skeg basically is the elongated part that extends aft. It’s useful for helping the boat track straight in the water.) I’ve observed before that there are lines in the instruction booklet that sound simple, but represent a few months of work.
