I don’t know how we’ve survived this long without you. It honestly doesn’t feel like it has been a month, and yet, somehow, it has felt like an eternity. I wake up each day thinking about you and fall asleep each night wondering how your day has been. We’re still sleeping on the couch. It’s where we feel closest to you. I’m not ready to move back upstairs and see the empty space where you used to sleep. Today was a busy day. Another close friend lost their beloved recently. You met him once in this physical world. I hope you are welcoming him with open paws and showing him the ropes. Your mom and I’s hearts are breaking for our friend, but we’ll do our best to help them through this. Thank you for introducing us to each other. Did you know this was going to happen?
