Assumptions set the boundary of the problem space, and also define the region of potential in solution space. We learn about unsaid assumptions during testing solutions by asking questions about the problem space. Agents can help in exploring the solution space faster, but will also make the problem space more rigid. We believe certain things about who is going to use the thing, how they are going to use it, why we work on this, and how we are going to progress. These beliefs or assumptions set the initial stage. Holding the wrong beliefs, as in getting assumptions wrong is bad of course, since we and the product fail in one way or another.
