25.05th Anniversary.

I never wrote about this blog’s 25th anniversary, which struck on the 4th of this month. That’s right, I wrote my first blog entry on 25 Aug 01. I didn’t know it was called a blog and I was writing raw html to publish the entry, but it was my first step into the blogging world. It wasn’t until my second entry on the 6th of that month that I included my first photo. Said photo was shot with a webcam that I believe was connected to a Linux desktop I had running at the time, most likely Corel Linux or Ximian Gnome on something but I don’t remember the distro I was running all those years ago. This image is a shot of the beard I was growing at the time. You can tell it’s 2001 with the unfortunate soul patch I had been sporting. We lived in an old farmhouse built in 1854 at the time. I had a bit of a tech cave going on in one of the upstairs bedrooms. I was still working in radio, hence the unfortunate but hip soul patch.
