Sunday Asides #109 The trailer for the new reboot of "A Different World" dropped this week, and of course, nerds are never satisfied. Well, Black folks are never satisfied, but when it comes to media representation, what else is new? For what it's worth, I think the trailer looks fine, though I get a tinge of BET's Boomerang from the brief bits I saw. I just want the reboot to be a good show instead of being a self-referential time capsule. It's a different world from where you come from, y'know. Speaking of Black media representation, whatever happened to Black & Sexy TV? There was a stretch in the 2010s where they were cranking out some pretty good web series and then it just kinda vanished. Most of their content still lives in YouTube, and they had a VHX-powered streaming platform, but that appears to be no more. The goose is loose!
