I loooove cherry tomatoes, and I'm also a big fan of those farming simulators like Stardew Valley so I wanted to give the real thing a go. We had also recently moved into a south-facing balcony with lots of natural light. This is my sixth apartment since moving out of home 10 years ago, but it's the very first one that actually has really good natural lighting so I figured I'd better make the most of it. The prep: where and what to buy So as a gardening noob, I turned to this Japanese YouTuber by the name of Daisuke Miyazaki to figure out all the essentials. First is all the bits and bobs you need for your plant: A pot: 15L, 34x30cm can support 1 plant. Miyazaki-san recommends getting one of the fancier pots, apparently it has some sort of system where it takes the water from the bottom and re-feeds it to the top.
