Encountered a texting tech glitch today...

Encountered a texting tech glitch today. RCS messages from my Android phone were unsent to one person because the recipient, using an iPhone, appeared offline. SMS/MMS texting worked fine though. The fix: restart the iPhone. Once rebooted, several other Android users’ messages, from both the same and different carrier as the recipient, automatically all came through. So it doesn’t seem carrier related.
