One of the first classes I decided to take when starting the Chinese language course at university was History of Chinese Art. And, this is one of my favourite paintings: Night-Shining White by Han Gan. Why? Because the description the teacher gave for it was truly splendid. Through her description of this painting, I could also feel her love for the subject. It represents for me a fond memory of dedication to one's study and the starting point of a question: "This teacher, after years of teaching this subject, is still so passionate about it. I wonder, could I also find something that captures me so?"
