Route 592 0 ▲ diamond geezer 13 hours ago · Life · hide · 0 comments Slim Summer Saturday Last Saturday a temporary bus route was introduced in North Cray while water main replacement works block the main road. It's the 592, it supports a few hundred people who'd otherwise be busless for three weeks and it's not been introduced very well. Route 592: Sidcup Station to Mount Mascal Farm Location: southeast London, outer Length of journey: 3 miles, 15 minutes Normally you'd catch the 492 from Sidcup from North Cray Road but no traffic can get down the narrow northern stretch while it's being dug up so TfL have devised the 592 instead. Other than providing two double deckers they haven't thrown much effort at it. There are no bus blinds, only sheets of paper stuck to the front window. There are no tiles at bus stops, only poorly worded yellow posters. There are no timetables, seemingly anywhere. There are no live updates on apps so you have to guess when it's coming. There's no mention on the normally obsessive Bus Changes webpage. And there are no maps… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
