A while back I covered the first wave of products for Free League’s Blade Runner RPG – based off the Year Zero engine which originated in their Mutant: Year Zero RPG and which also powers their Alien game. Set by default squarely between the era of the original movie and Blade Runner 2049, all things considered they did a remarkably good job with it, so I didn’t hesitate to back the Kickstarter for Replicant Rebellion, a major supplement for it. That book ended up being delayed for a while – but now it’s out, as are a few more treats in the line, so let’s take a look at the goodies I got from the Kickstarter and see how Free League are nurturing the game. Replicant Rebellion As the title implies, this supplement focuses on the Replicant Underground – the resistance movement that is a bit more of a presence in Blade Runner 2049, due to the rise of longer-lived replicants in the intervening years since the first movie.
