Anytime a computer is connected to the internet, there are bad actors trying to find their way into that computer or see what else is exposed. TailScale is a great service that allows users to create their own private WAN over a VPN like system using WireGaurd. They released another great tool a while back called Funnel. Tailscale Funnel lets you route traffic from the broader internet to a local service running on a device in your Tailscale network (known as a tailnet). You can use it to share a local service, like a web app, for anyone to access—even if they don’t use Tailscale. This can now be fully public, or still private to those devices connected to your network. Overall, TailScale and the network has been a great reliable tool for me to connect from remote locations and still have all the same access as if I was at home still.
